Magazine Cover Peer Review

1. What is the name of the magazine that you looked at and who made it?
Work Weekly, Morgan Walk
2. List two things you liked about the magazine cover
I liked the lines in the title and the outline of blue around the text.
3. Suggest something to the creator to improve the cover
I think the lines could be moved to be under Work instead of Weekly, It's kinda hard to tea right now.
4. Why did you pick this cover? Specifically what attracted your eyes.
I think it was the bright colors around the text.
5. Is there a bar code?
Yes
6. Did that make it more "magazine-like"?
Yes, I think so.
7. Can you tell if it was a portrait or self-portrait?
Portrait, it is her dad.

Prompt Shoot Peer Review

http://claudiaphotojournalish.blogspot.com

My favorite photo is eight, I like it because of the curving around the edges, it catches my eye and leads me to the center of the photo. It's something we haven't done in class so it wasn't easy peasy.

I really like all four of these, they are unique and represent their prompts uniquely but surely. If I had to pick one I disliked it would probably be yummy. Although I do like the feet and body in the picture, I think it could have been stronger if it were closer, so we could see the trash inside better, and straighter, the camera was tilted a bit.

Overall, I really like how the prompts were represented uniquely abut well and I like the color in all the photos. One thing I disliked was the slight tilt in the photos, I don't know how noticeably it really is, I'm just pretty OCD about that.

I liked the portrayal of pause, it was a good photo that represented the pause in the jump, I liked it.

I think yummy was represented the worst, just because it's hard to see the trash can and the food inside, other than that it is good though.

Best of 2014 -1/6/15-

I like this photo because of the contrast, the background is dull and brown and the blankets are a dull dirty green, but the little girl has bright hair and eyes.

I like this one because of the amazing timing involved. Lighting strikes are fast and two at once is rare. I also like the  comparison of the light of the city and the light of the sky.

This photo caught my eye because of the bright colors and the joyful mood of the photo. I also really like the timing in catching the hats mid-air.

The best song of 2014 was "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainer. I liked it because it spread a powerful message that you can be beautiful without fitting in with society's conception of 'beauty'.

The best movie of 2014 was "The Imitation Game." It was a very interesting film about an under-appreciated genius who saved thousands of lives. It also addresses issues on homosexuality.

The most important or widespread new story of 2014 was the Ebola virus, it sent some people into a panic and became the thing everyone was talking about. I think I can safely say that Ebola was the story that spread the fastest and furthest.

The most important person of 2014 was Malala Yousafzai. The 17 year old won a Nobel peace prize for telling her story and pushing for female education.

The most important entertainment person of 2014 is Robin Williams. When Robin Williams died the world lost an entertainer that had been making us laugh since the mid seventies. As evidence by he being the fastest growing search term of 2014 he impacted millions of lives and will never be replaced.

1. Tell me what is the one thing that happened on your holiday that you will remember? It can be a trip, a family visit, a present, something fun.
Something I will remember from the break is my kittens. I got them a few days before christmas and they were my 'santa' gift.

2. What are your resolutions for the 2015 year?

Not to make pointless resolutions that I won't end up keeping.

Keeping my room clean
Staying more on top of grades
Staying more in contact with friends in different states
Creating more

3. What are you looking forward to in 2015?

Driving
Cats -meow
My room that is new and improved - and super clean
